In 2010, the Tesi family as well as the Giorgio Tesi Group, its employees and associates, chose to establish a non-profit foundation to help the less privileged and to support initiatives targeted at young people, the world of education, and research. In addition to remembering Giorgio, his brother Tullio and his son Franco, the foundation’s objective is to enhance the principles and qualities that have inspired their whole lives: support for the weakest and the marginalized, honesty and fairness, respect for others, and a commitment to the weakest.
These values, supported by a strong Christian faith, are the basis of the foundation’s activities.

In 2016, the Giorgio Tesi Onlus Foundation presented a summary of the projects and activities it supported during the period 2013-2015.
In accordance with its statutory aims, the Foundation funded solidarity projects, educational promotion, books, solidarity events and the promotion of scientific research. Where it was unable to provide funding, it contributed by donating plants, which are forms of life with the colour of hope.
There were numerous projects to support those most need in Pistoia and the surrounding area, including support for the diocesan Caritas and the ‘Raggi di Speranza in Stazione’ Association, which distributes hot meals to the homeless.
A project particularly dear to the Tesi family was organised with the ‘Amici di Lourdes di Pistoia’ Association, in which thirty ash trees were donated to the sanctuary of Lourdes and planted along the new, fully restored avenue leading to the Grotto of the Virgin. A plaque dedicated to Luciano Bani, deacon of Pistoia, and Giorgio Tesi, founder of the Tesi Group Company, was placed on one of the trees.
