INNOVATION

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT – THE DRIVE FOR A BETTER ENVIRONMENT

For years we have been implementing plant genetic improvement programmes to offer selected varieties both for ornamental and landscape characteristics, and resistance to the most serious diseases. We are committed, through specific protection techniques, to the reduction of interventions with synthesis products.

GIORGIO TESI GROUP AND CNR

We are constantly collaborating with the Institute for the Protection of Plants of the CNR for the protection of the cypress and elm.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The protection techniques are aimed at reducing the interventions with synthesis products.

The market, the many species and varieties present in cultivation and the regulation restrictions, imply great elasticity in the management of the technical aspects in nurseries. Prevention starts from the field, with the awareness that healthy plants have greater resistance to stress. We are working for a more sustainable cultivation, with techniques more and more specific and in line  with what required by the biological protection.

VARIETAL RESEARCH

We have enriched our production with new exclusive varieties, four of Ginko Biloba and one of Cornus, result of long selection and cultivation work.

ARBORETUM

We have realised a unique collection of cypress species and varieties in collaboration with the Istituto per la Protezione Sostenibile delle Piante (Institute for the Sustainable Protection of Plants) of the CNR of Florence.

CUPRESSUS

We produce and sell the historical and resistant clones , tested by the CNR, such as the Bolgheri®, Mediterraneo, Italico and Agrimed n.1® varieties.

CORNUS

In our catalogue we have included a new variety of Cornus dedicated to the French landscape architect Andrè Gayraud, author of “A Monograph of the Genus Cornus” published by Giorgio Tesi Editrice.

GINGKO

In exclusive we distribute four varieties of Gingko Biloba, with interesting shapes: three fastigiated-columnar shaped and one globular shaped.

ULMUS

We obtained the patent licensing contract from the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (National Research Council) for the diffusion, cultivation, and sales of the Community plant variety Ulmus "MORFEO", no. 2011/0223.
